Nursing Department Assistant

Job Summary

Ambria College of Nursing at Judson University seeks applications from qualified candidates to support the Department Chair and faculty with projects and general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, a self-starter, and able to handle sensitive material and information with confidentiality.  The successful candidate must take initiative, be organized, take direction well, and have good writing and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages schedule for the Department using Microsoft Outlook and web/mobile applications, screen incoming calls and correspondence.
  • Coordinates meetings and events such as orientations, pinning ceremony. Prepares agendas, notices and minutes for meetings.
  • Handles equipment and material purchasing, processing, distribution, storage, and maintenance.
  • Compiles data and reports for the Department, including NCLEX reports and rosters.
  • Provides general office support including but not limited to: greeting and assisting students and guests, monitoring general emails, proctoring exams

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum two years college certificate or degree, or related work experience
  • Computer proficiency
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products

Preferred qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
