Elgin, Il. – Judson University is honored to partner in the 5th Annual #HeroesUnite Celebration, a vibrant, community-wide event hosted by the Autism Hero Project and the Elgin Police Department, on Saturday, April 27, 2025, from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. at the Centre of Elgin (100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL). This free, family-focused event brings together children, families, community leaders, and local organizations to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month with a shared mission of promoting inclusion, awareness, and access to vital resources.

“True inclusion goes beyond awareness—it’s about action, understanding, and creating spaces where autistic individuals and their families feel seen, heard, and valued. #HeroesUnite is more than an event; it’s a movement,” says Tamika Lecheé Morales, Founder & President of the Autism Hero Project. “It’s about bringing together our community, first responders, and families to build a world of acceptance, one interaction at a time. When we stand united, we create lasting change.”
