Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor

Job Summary:

Ambria College of Nursing at Judson University seeks applications from qualified faculty to teach maternity and pediatric clinical in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Join a team of nurse educators who are passionate about training future nurses.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plans for clinical experiences that maximizes the hands-on patient care experience on the clinical floor. Provides direct supervision and instruction throughout the scheduled clinical day.
  • Develops clinical assignments consistent with student’s knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs.
  • Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on level of performance based on course objectives.
Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • LPN Program clinical instructors must hold a BSN degree.
  • ADN Program clinical instructors must hold an MSN degree.
  • Unencumbered professional nurse licensure in the state of Illinois
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a registered nurse within the last five years
  • Valid BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification
  • Compliance with all clinical healthcare requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • MSN with an Emphasis in Nursing Education preferred
  • Previous clinical teaching experience
Salary/Benefits:

Adjunct faculty hold the rank of instructor and are hired on a per-course basis.
